[Update: July 8 2008] Now in the detailed design phase is a combination BMX and Skate Park that will sit on the site of the old Austin Recreation Center (torn down in 2007), the existing tennis courts and the ad hoc Skate spot behind the courts. Design is supposed to be completed by December 2008, with bidding for construction to commence in 2009. See pictures below for conceptual drawings unveiled in March 2008 at public meetings to gather input.
