Open Workday: Slaughter Creek at Twin Oaks Greenbelt
Please join Austin Parks Foundation for a morning of giving back along the Twin Oaks Greenbelt. We will be improving the health of Slaughter Creek, the aquifer, and the greenbelt ecosystem by picking up trash. Trash often collects along creeks as it is carried by rainwater, and condenses under high traffic areas such as under bridges. For these reasons, we’ll be tackling the section of the Twin Oaks Greenbelt under the S 1st St. bridge.
We will meet at the corner of Camperdown Elm Dr. and S 1st St. at 9:00AM and hike down to the greenbelt. Parking is available along Camperdown Elm Dr.
Please bring lots of water and consider wearing long pants. There is poison ivy in this area and some large pieces of trash can be unpredictable so ankle/shin protection is recommended. APF will bring all other supplies and materials.
Thank you so much for giving back to our parks and green spaces!
