Tools for Park Projects

 

Austin Parks Foundation has a tool warehouse with hundreds of hand tools that may be borrowed for park improvement projects year-round by volunteer groups and park adopters. We have an expanding collection of tools, mainly long-handled, that includes: .

  • 5 Gallon buckets (also good for moving mulch)
  • 5 Gallon water jugs
  • Fire rakes (for spreading gravel)
  • Flat shovels
  • Heavy duty rock bars
  • Mattocks/pick axes
  • Metal rakes for mulching
  • Mulch Sleds (smaller than wheelbarrows, stackable)
  • Pitchforks for mulching
  • Rock cradles
  • Rounded point shovels
  • Sharpshooter Shovels (also called Drain spades)
  • Weed wrenches (small, medium, large) for removing invasive trees
  • Wheelbarrows
