27 Years of People + Parks
Since 1992, Austin Parks Foundation has been committed to ensuring the future of Austin’s parks, trails and green spaces. We provide resources, programming and funding to ensure access to parks for every Austinite. We create volunteer opportunities (both large and small), activation programming and even large, capital improvement projects. APF has been at the center of promoting park development, maintenance, accessibility and improvements all over Austin for 27 years.
In 2018, APF:
- Deployed over 7,300 volunteers at more than 270 park projects across Austin
- Granted nearly half a million dollars to Adopt-A-Park groups and neighborhood volunteers via our ACL Music Festival Grants Program for community-initiated park improvement projects
- Invested more than $546,000 in volunteer labor back into city parks
- 80 percent of every dollar given to APF went directly to park projects and programs
