Your Parks, Your Community!

It's My Park Day is Austin Parks Foundation's biannual, community-led day of service. Volunteers work to improve parks and green spaces around Austin and build community through park activation events and projects like litter cleanup, potlucks, tree mulching, fitness classes, invasive species management and more.

The first Saturday of March and November, It’s My Park Day brings volunteers from across Austin together to improve their local parks and build community. All projects are led by community members to encourage neighbors to come out, lend a hand and connect with fellow park lovers from all walks of life. This is a day many look forward to all year as we celebrate the people and parks that make Austin special!

    In Spring 2026, It's My Park Day volunteers made an impact:

    4,522 volunteers
    completed 108 projects

    Spread 1,027 cubic yards
    of mulch to support trees

    Collected 16,150 pounds
    of trash from our parks

    Contributed $455,682
    of labor to parks around Austin

    Every year we get thousands of volunteers on this city-wide day of volunteering on parkland, but there many projects with an abundance of volunteers while others have not quite enough. We want to see a more even distribution of volunteers across Austin and that's where you can help!
