S2E15 Stay Golden: Conversations with Two of APF’s Golden Shovel Award Winners

AustinParksFoundationBlog Page

In today's episode, you’ll hear interviews with two of our Golden Shovel award winners: Chuck Foster (Park Adopter at Springwoods Park) and Andrea Harrington (Friends of Little Walnut Creek Greenbelt). Each year, these awards are given to people and organizations that have made a big impact on Austin’s parks. We recognize our winners at Party for the Parks, our biggest fundraising event of the year!

This year, we gathered in Zilker Park in between weekends 1 & 2 of ACL Music Festival for a night of fun and fundraising for the parks! Guests enjoyed great food, drinks, and friends as well as an electrifying performance by Austin’s own Black Pumas.Thank you to everyone who joined us in person and tuned into the livestream at home.

We’d also like to give a huge shoutout to everyone that made this year’s event our biggest and most successful yet! This includes our wonderful sponsors, partners and friends. Y'all are the best!
