Circulatory System and Monofonus Press propose to present a new collaborative project by twelve video artists from Austin and New York, all commissioned to make a new video for the project, The Album is Dead. In a society where MTV rarely plays actual music videos, the music industry continues to struggle with the fact that fewer and fewer people actually buy music. The Album is Dead both re-envisions and questions the format of the traditional recorded album and analyzes the state of the music videos by visually heightening the experience through experimental interpretations of the eleven newly recorded tracks by the Austin based band, Over the Hill.
