Hey, y'all! Though the city’s parks may be closed for Easter weekend, there are still some great ways to have fun right in the comfort of your own home! Be sure to check out our Eggstravaganza at a Distance and Neighborhood Eggsploration blogs for more Easter fun!

Everyone loves a Parade!

We’ve seen people all over the nation come together, lift spirits and safely get out of the house by planning parades at a distance! With parks closed this weekend, now is the perfect time to reach out to your neighbors and organize a Neighborhood Easter Eggsibition and Bunny Parade!

Residents of Roseville, Ohio enjoy an Easter parade while social distancing from their front yards.

Getting Every-bunny Together!

Using Nextdoor, a listserv, or text chain, see who might be interested in helping you organize the event. Then assign some neighbors to stay at home and decorate their lawns/porches/doors, and some neighbors to decorate their cars.

Next, set a time and date, and plan the parade route. Be sure to let everyone know when the parade will pass by their home!

Getting into the Holiday Spirit

Decorate cars like bunnies with cardboard, fabric or papier-mâché, draw giant eggs and post them in your windows, decorate your front door or lawn, and make a fun playlist to blast from your car or home. Most of all - have fun at a safe distance!

Getting Creative & Reaching Out

Just because we can’t visit parks this weekend, or meet up with family and friends, doesn’t mean we can’t celebrate! Let’s all make an effort to get creative during this time and reach out to others in our community over this holiday weekend. Include family members and friends your celebration via video call!

Remember, we can all do our part by sheltering in place! We'd love to see how you're celebrating Easter from home. Share with us by tagging us in your photos on social media!
