Govalle Playground Project

Govalle Neighborhood Park is located on Bolm Rd. near Airport Blvd. Boggy Creek cuts through the park and Walnut Creek Trails starts here. The playground equipment in the park has been identified as a priority for replacement. The focus of the project will be to bring improvements to the playground. In addition to new equipment, the project will bring the playground into ADA compliance and address access and safety concerns. Some preliminary feedback indicates there is community desire to add some recreation amenities, as well, and funding is available for field improvements.

APF will work with the community to identify other amenities or desired improvements for the park to help prioritize the community's goals and seize on the existing project outreach and engagement to gather your feedback. Working with the City of Austin's Corridor Mobility Program, we will also be gathering information through this survey about how the community travels to the park. Whether you walk, bike, drive or take transit, you can learn about the safety and mobility improvements coming to nine Austin roadways, including Airport Boulevard between North Lamar Boulevard and U.S. 183.
