We're still so thrilled with the level of participation during our first It's My Park Day - At A Distance! Together, we were able to make a big impact for Austin's parks in a safe, meaningful way. Many of you entered one of 4 contests including: Oldest IMPD T-shirt, Design Your Own IMPD T-shirt, Tree of IMPD and Oldest Live Oak Tree on Parkland!
We'd like to thank everyone who participated in our It's My Park Day - At A Distance contests. Your support and efforts mean the world to us! Our contest winners are...
1. Oldest IMPD T-shirt:
Marie Laing
Marie is a long-time park adopter at Great Hills Park who has led many It's My Park Day projects over the years! She is the proud owner of an It's My Park Day t-shirt from 2005. Wowza!
Be sure to check out some of the Honorable Mentions in the slideshow above, and thanks to everyone who sent in a photo! We're so grateful for your continued support of our city's parks and Austin Parks Foundation.
2. IMPD T-shirt Design:

Her design will be featured on the IMPD - Spring 2021 kids t-shirt. Thanks so much for your hard work and creativity, Genevieve!
3. Tree of IMPD:
Cindy Black
Thank you to Cindy Black to submitting this majestic photo! Here's what she had to say:
"The tree I photographed is located at the Zilker Botanical Gardens in the Tanaguchi Japanese garden. I believe it’s a red oak. I hadn’t noticed this particular tree before, and in fact this IMPD virtual day gave me the opportunity to explore the Japanese gardens since I hadn’t visited in several years."
4. Oldest Live Oak:
To Be Determined
The Oldest Live Oak on Parkland is being determined by the experts at the Austin Parks and Recreation Department.
Check out some of the entries to the left (on your computer) or above (on your mobile device) and stay tuned for the announcement of the winner!
