Open Workday: Montopolis Neighborhood Park

Austin Parks Foundation is excited to partner with Austin’s Parks and Recreation Forestry Department and join their efforts in caring for Montopolis Park! We will be supporting the health and beauty of Austin’s parkland and urban canopy through planting brand new trees.

What to bring: Please bring plenty of drinking water, wear close toed shoes and comfortable, preferably long, outdoor clothing for protection that you don’t mind working up a sweat in. Sunscreen and hat recommended! APF will bring all other supplies and materials such as tools and gloves.

Where to meet: We’ll gather around to get started with introductions and review our task for the day at 9AM near the Monotopolis Recreation Center! Parking is available right next to the Rec Center and park space.

In the event of dangerous inclement weather such as lightning, hail, or strong winds/ rain, APF staff will direct volunteers to vacate the site immediately.
