Open Workday – Rosewood Neighborhood Park
We invite you to join us at Austin Parks Foundation to care for Rosewood Neighborhood Park! We will be supporting the health and beauty of Austin’s parkland through preparing the Nature Play Area to weather the winter spreading mulch. Tree mulch provides a multitude of benefits to trees and Nature Play’s health including temperature regulation, water retention, physical protection from the elements, and nourishing soil composition. We hope you join us!
What to bring: Please bring plenty of drinking water, wear closed-toe shoes and comfortable, preferably long, outdoor clothing for protection that you don’t mind working up a sweat in. Sunscreen and a hat are recommended! APF will bring all other supplies and materials such as tools and gloves.
Where to meet: We’ll meet here to gather around to get started with introductions and review our tasks for the day at 9 AM! The link leads to the Nature Play Area located near the tennis courts and playground structure. The park is big, so please make sure to follow the link! Parking would be best at the Dorris Miller Auditorium – as their parking lot is nearest to the Nature Play Area.
Thank you so much for giving back to our parks and green spaces!
In the event of dangerous inclement weather such as lightning, hail, or strong winds/ rain, APF staff will direct volunteers to vacate the site immediately.
