THANK YOU!
Yes, you – and all 4,521 other It’s My Park Day volunteers who came together to make our parks, trails and green spaces better! It truly takes a village, and you guys continue to show up.
It’s My Park Day Impact:
Your efforts on Saturday will go a long way in the maintenance, restoration and beauty of Austin’s parks. Let’s break it down:
On March 7, we hosted 108 park projects across the city with 4,522 volunteers pitching in to help. During these projects, 16,150 pounds of trash were removed and 1,027 cubic yards of mulch were spread (that’s nearly two square miles of mulch)!
All of this adds up to $455,682 of labor and materials contributed to our parks…on ONE Saturday morning!
Again, THANK YOU for showing up. We are grateful to everyone (project leaders, volunteers and giveback partners) who took part in this city-wide volunteer event. We hope you enjoyed your time creating community in our local parks, trails and green spaces – we hope to see you again on Saturday, November 7 for our fall event!
Take a look at how this city-wide volunteer event continues to play a vital role in making our parks, trails and green spaces better💚
