Community Volunteer Event: Walnut Creek Park Restoration

Help us restore and maintain the ecological health and resilience of the park. Volunteers will learn and practice invasive plant removal skills, collect native seed, and help re-seed restoration areas!

What to Wear and Bring:

• Please wear closed-toed shoes, weather-appropriate gear for outdoor activities and uneven terrain.
• Please bring plenty of drinking water to stay hydrated throughout the day. Electrolyte beverages and snacks encouraged! Austin Parks Foundation will provide work gloves and other necessary tools.
• Recommendations: Wear long pants and clothing, and don’t forget bug spray and sun protection!

Where to Begin: Please meet by the Walnut Creek Park playground by 9:00 a.m. to get started!

Parking: There is parking available in front of the playground.

Accessibility: Please note that our activity for the day will involve walking on uneven terrain, and potentially wet/muddy surfaces.
