Activation Grants are intended for park adopters and park stewards who are seeking funding to support a public event within their park, such as a movie night, exercise or fitness class, community event, or holiday celebration. Activation grants are awarded up to $2,000 and will be accepted on a year-round basis. 

Please note that grant applications must be submitted at least 30 days prior to the date of your event. When required, applicants must have approved permits on file with Austin Parks & Recreation (APR). 

Remember: in order to be eligible for grant funding, projects must take place on parkland that is owned and managed by the City of Austin Parks and Recreation Department (APR).
