Austin Parks Foundation amplifies D6

This year for Amplify Austin, our city’s 24-hour giving frenzy, we’re highlighting the breadth of our work. We’ll share stories of projects from each district throughout the month of February so you can see how we’re Amplifying a green space near you!

Today, we’re showing off how your gifts Amplify Springwoods Park

It’s My Park Day to Amplify Springwoods Park

Springwoods Park, located just east of 183 on Anderson Mill Road, is a shady little neighborhood park. With two playgrounds, picnic areas, a volleyball court, two tennis courts, two athletics fields, and hike-and-bike trails, there’s something to entice any age or ability.

But, this park can’t stay amazing without a little help. From past It’s My Park Day projects there, to countless community-lead volunteer days, and even an active advocacy group, Springwoods has been the beneficiary of lots of APF resources. And it just so happens that Amplify Austin leads directly into this year’s It’s My Park Day – our city-wide volunteer day that will draw nearly 3,000 volunteers to parks all over Austin. If you want to help us continue supporting lovely little green spaces like Springwoods with events like It’s My Park Day – consider scheduling an Amplify gift today! Every dollar you contribute helps us maintain and beautify neighborhood parks just like Springwoods.
