If you’ve never led a project for It’s My Park Day before, we invite you to join us on January 31 at the Carver Branch Library for a crash course in IMPD. All rookie project leaders are welcome to attend as we cover the basics of leading a successful volunteer project for our parks. Here’s what to expect:

SCHEDULE:

6:45 – Check-in

7 – Meeting Begins

  • Basic Overview of It’s My Park Day
  • Project Leader Checklist
  • Leader Roles and Responsibilities
  • GivePulse 101
  • Q&A

8 – Carver Branch Closes

Come with any questions you might have about your project, leading volunteers, Givepulse or working with PARD. First-timers are also strongly encouraged to attend our general Project Leader meeting on Feb 22nd in order to pick up IMPD signs and mini-grants, and to hear from PARD and APF staff on It’s My Park Day procedures and details.

Thanks for choosing to lead a project on our biggest volunteer day of the year – we are so grateful that park lovers like you give so generously to our parks, trails and green spaces!
