S2E14 Premiere Parknership: A Conversation with C3 Presents COO Emmett Beliveau

AustinParksFoundationBlog Page

In today’s episode, Austin Parks Foundation’s CEO Colin Wallis talks with Emmett Beliveau, the Chief Operating Officer of C3 Presents. In case you didn’t know, C3 creates, markets and produces live experiences, concerts, and events across the globe. This includes world-renowned music festivals like Austin’s own ACL Music Festival, Lollapalooza in Chicago, Bonnaroo in Tennessee and many more.

For over 15 years, C3 Presents and Austin Parks Foundation have worked together to bring ACL Music Festival to Zilker Park. ACL Fest fans have generated over $41.6M for Austin’s drastically underfunded parks system. With these dollars, APF is able to fund community-initiated renovation projects in parks, trails and green spaces across our city.

Colin and Emmett talk about the history of our partnership as well as some memories, including the infamous Dillo Dirt incident. They talk about the challenges presented by a global pandemic and the steps taken to ensure festival-goers are safe moving forward.
