Please join us with our partners including the City of Austin Parks and Recreation Dept, Hill Country Conservancy, American Youthworks Environmental Corps, Austin Ridge Riders, Greenbelt Guardians, Central Texas Mountaineers, and Central Texas Trail Tamers. Sign up now for cutting and windrow building crews. We also need crew leaders for the cutting and windrow building crews - please email us at apf@austinparks.org if you are interested.
This is the first of 25 volunteer workdays we'll be hosting over the next 17 months as part of our Barton Creek Trail Corps and Volunteer Corps initiative.

Announcing $90,000 for Neighborhood Park Projects
This summer, Austin Parks Foundation is awarding more than $90,000 in grants to community park projects. With the help of volunteers, nine parks will see substantial improvements. Among the projects we'll be contributing to are:
- Placing large boulders at Slaughter Creek Greenbelt to prevent off-road vehicals tearing up the trail, along with landscaping entrances, and installing signs.
- Planting nearly 100 trees at Brentwood Park and adding an irrigation system to keep them green.
- Planning for a 40-acre prairie restoration project at Commons Ford Ranch.
- Constructing the first segment of the Montopolis Tributary Trail which will eventually be part of a major south Austin trail network.
- Landscaping, beautifying, and providing shade for new splash pads at Pease, Mary Baylor Clarksville, and Bartholomew Parks.
See a map of all our recent grant projects on our Grants page.
