Community Volunteer Event

Thank you for joining your community to give back to our parks and green spaces!

Project Goals: We need your help completing a mulching project at Boggy Creek Greenbelt. We will mulch any trees that require additional mulch, rake any mulch that has not been spread out and pickup/collect any trash within the area. This is a great opportunity to giveback to your local green space.

What to Bring:

  • Please bring plenty of drinking water and fluids to stay hydrated throughout the day. Electrolyte beverages and snacks encouraged!
  • Please wear closed-toed shoes, comfortable, weather-appropriate gear for outdoor activities and uneven terrain.
  • Recommendations: Wear long pants and clothing, and don’t forget bug spray and sun protection!

Accessibility: Please note that we will be on grass. The potential for small holes, ant piles, or uneven terrain is possible.

Where to Begin : Please meet at 9AM at The Boggy Creek Greenbelt HERE to begin our project.

Parking: There is parking available along the street of Walnut Avenue. The Austin Parks Foundation truck will be parallel parked on that street, you are welcome to park there as well. Please ensure there are no “no parking signs,” or painted curbs denoting “no parking”. The address provided: 1135 1/2 Walnut Ave, Austin, TX is the closest address to the working spot, but you are welcome to park at Doris Miller Auditorium parking lot and walk over.

Thank you so much for giving back to our parks and green spaces!
