Community Volunteer Event: Good Deeds Day by GoodPop at Rosewood Park

Austin Parks Foundation is so excited to work with you to support the ecological health, resilience, and beauty of our green spaces.

Project Goals: Join us for a fun filled day giving back to Rosewood Park! We will have food provided by HEB and GoodPop popsicles, of course! Volunteer Activities for the day could include:

  • Litter Cleanup around Boggy Creek and park grounds!
  • Tree Mulching for vulnerable trees to prepare for summer season.
  • Park Picnic Table Painting to give Rosewood Park a fresh look.

What to Bring:

  • Please bring plenty of drinking water and fluids to stay hydrated throughout the day. Electrolyte beverages and snacks encouraged!
  • Please wear comfortable, weather-appropriate gear for outdoor activities and uneven terrain.
    • All volunteers are required to wear closed-toed shoes.
    • We recommend wearing long pants with ankle coverage for protection against irritants, bugs, and other environmental hazards.
    • Sun protection including a broad-brimmed hat, sunscreen, and light-colored, lightweight clothing are recommended, especially for hot weather.
    • Bug Spray is recommended to prevent bug bites.

Where to Meet: Please meet near the Doris Miller Auditorium here. by 10:00AM to get started with introductions and our activities for the day!

Parking: There is available on-site parking throughout the pool, rec center lots, and neighborhood.

Thank you so much for giving back to our parks and green spaces!

In the event of dangerous inclement weather such as lightning, hail, or strong winds/ rain, APF staff will direct volunteers to vacate the site immediately.
