Open Workday: Walnut Creek Metro Park

Join your neighbors and fellow park lovers as we give back on Earth Day at Walnut Creek! We will continue restoration efforts laid out in the Walnut Creek Metropolitan Park Unified Stewardship Plan, spending the day girdling and weed-wrenching invasive plants while learning more about park’s ecosystem.

We’ll meet at the kiosk just past the pool/playground parking lot. Volunteers should bring their own water bottle, wear close toed shoes and pants, and be ready to work off trail in the park’s natural areas.

In the event of dangerous inclement weather such as lightning, hail, or strong winds/ rain, APF staff will direct volunteers to vacate the site immediately.
