Volunteer Event: APF Mobile Mini Cleanup
Howdy!
With Austin Parks Foundation’s bi-annual city-wide volunteer event, It’s My Park Day, right around the corner, we need some help prepping for our largest volunteer event of the year.
Every year, our mobile minis (tool storage units) serve as a central meeting point for all project leaders to meet our team and pickup/drop off items they need to host and run a successful IMPD project.
This year we’d love to have your help in sorting, cleaning, organizing and counting the tools and materials that are stored at our mobile minis. This behind-the-scenes preparation is integral to the success of IMPD. Although we may not be out in the parks volunteering for this opportunity, your help will help dozens of parks lead a successful IMPD project.
Please bring a reusable water bottle to stay hydrated throughout the morning, comfortable clothing and bugspray/sunscreen. Please feel free to reach out if there are any questions or concerns.
In the event of dangerous inclement weather such as lightning, hail, or strong winds/ rain, APF staff will direct volunteers to vacate the site immediately.
Children under 17 must be accompanied by a parent or supervising guardian to volunteer.
