WHAT’S THE VIOLET CROWN TRAIL?
The Violet Crown Trail runs through much of, but not entirely within, the Barton Creek Greenbelt. It starts at the Zilker access point down to Hwy 290 in susnet Valley. It will eventually reach the Lady Bird Johnson Wildflower Center and into Hays County.
APF partnered with Hill Country Conservancy to place mile markers on the trail in 2016, and is working with HCC to build a brand new trailhead at Zilker in 2018.
