What ACL Music Festival Grants Are Available?

Activation Grants

$250 - $2,000

A well-used park is a well-loved park. That is why APF is launching Activation Grants! The goal of APF’s activation grants is to encourage positive park usage and community building.

Activation Grants are intended for park adopters and park stewards who are interested in facilitating a public event (“activation”) within their park, such as a movie night, exercise or fitness class(es), community event, or holiday celebration. When required, applicants must have approved permits on file with Austin Parks & Recreation (APR). Activation grants are awarded up to $2,000 and will be accepted on a rolling basis. Please note that grant applications must be submitted at least 30 days prior to the date of your event.

Remember: in order to be eligible for grant funding, projects must take place on parkland that is owned and managed by the City of Austin Parks and Recreation Department (APR).

Neighborhood Grants

$500 - $5,000

Neighborhood Grants are designed for small-scale, community-initiated park improvements. These funds are meant to enable Park Adopters to make small, but important improvements to the local parks they care about. Applicants must have an approved Community Activated Park Project form on file with the Parks and Recreation Department, and have confirmed eligibility with APF staff prior to applying.

Remember: in order to be eligible for grant funding, projects must take place on parkland that is owned and managed by the City of Austin Parks and Recreation Department (APR).

Community Impact Grants

$5,000+

Community Impact Grants are designed for large-scale, community-initiated park improvements. These funds are meant to enable Park Adopters, park stewards, community gardens, and other park stakeholder groups to make significant improvements to their local parks, trails, and green spaces. Applicants must have an approved Community Activated Park Project form on file with the Parks and Recreation Department, and have confirmed eligibility with APF staff prior to applying.

Park Design Services

We're thrilled to offer Park Design services to Adopt-A-Park groups looking to make improvements to their parks. Whether you are looking for a little guidance with an on-site consultant or you need help you with long range planning, we are now offering a range of design resources that will help you with your favorite park’s needs. Applicants must have an approved Community Activated Park Project form on file with the Parks and Recreation Department, and have confirmed eligibility with APF staff prior to applying.
