Yup, we’re celebrating and not complaining about the third day in a row with measureable rain in Austin. Visting the many It’s My Park Day sites last Saturday, we couldn’t help noticing the dust and in many cases, mulch, swirling around us. The past few days of rain won’t end the drought, which is severe now in Central Texas, but it will certainly help.
As I was walking my dogs yesterday, they would splash through each puddle on the street, wondering if they remembered swimming in the creeks in the summer. Here’s a picture of one of my pups, Jessie, swimming in Barton Creek a few summers ago.
