We’ve now poured 7 of the 11 internal piers for the deck at Republic Square and this photo shows how we’re doing it, we are moving the pier locations to adjust for the roots that we find. We wrap the roots in burlap to keep them moist and protected. Once the concrete hardens (tomorrow) we’ll backfill with soil.

Invasive Species Removal at Pease
Thanks to efforts from the neighborhood, an invasive tree removal project has begun at Pease Park on the hillside between Parkway and Windsor Rds. $1 Million for Gus Garcia Park
Gus Garcia Park will receive a $500,000 grant, Texas Parks and Wildlife Commission announced yesterday.
