NYC: High Line In The Snow
Due to an uplanned extra five days of vacation in the northeast USA (that snow storm you might have heard about) so we took the train from Boston to New York and spent a day and a half visiting the slushy streets of New York. I really wanted to see the first section of the High Line – once an …
Main Plaza San Antonio
It is amazing what happens when you leave the Riverwalk in downtown San Antonio. You discover the rest of San Antonio. We discovered Main Plaza, operated by the Main Plaza Conservancy a few weeks ago. It has many of the right things going for it, including vendor, moveable tables and chairs, foundations, shade and events.
Riverwalk Museum Reach In San Antonio
Mom was visiting over the weekend, so we took a break and made a trip down to San Antonio, where we walked much of the new (2009) portion of the Riverwalk on Museum Reach. Great examples of an urban path (a few quibbles about the trail not being wide enough in sections) but wanted to share some photos taken for …
Trinity Trails – Part 2
Finally, I’m posting part two of my bike ride on the Trinity Trails during the International Downtown Association conference in Ft Worth. Day two took me southwest, with some cool improvements happening. This was a Sunday afternoon and a very popular stretch of the trail with lots of people on it. The new portions of the trail were quite impressive.

Here’s a few …
Montreal Trails, Parks and Bikeways
A final installment from our Montreal Trip – we did about 30 miles of biking in and around Montreal when we were there in early July – down along an old canal, along the St. Lawrence River, over and back the St. Lawrence, visiting parks, formula 1 racetrack (now a bikeway) and more. Look for the surfers! [fusion_builder_container hundred_percent=”yes” overflow=”visible”][fusion_builder_row][fusion_builder_column …
Montreal Parks – 2
A few more photos from a recent trip to Montreal – some parks designed by someone who liked concrete and unique sculpture….
Montreal Parks
Fortunate to spend a few days in Montreal and Quebec City in the past week, we took some photos of parks, plazas and bikeways that we’ll post over the next week or so. Today’s installment: Great Square and row houses in the trendy Plateau Mont Royal Area. Sunflowers and Playscape Close-up of Sunflowers
