Blues on the Green, Salt Lick BBQ and Chipotle help APF celebrate our 25th anniversary
When Austin Parks Foundation began in 1992, we were a small group of committed park stewards – just 12 volunteer board members. Now celebrating our 25th Anniversary, we still dedicate ourselves to maintaining and improving the 300+ green spaces in Austin, but we’ve grown into ourselves a bit. Over the years we have succeeded because of the hard work of our donors and volunteers, a staff of 12 (soon to be 14), and a wide variety of amazing community partners – this year is no different.
To help us celebrate this milestone, KGSR’s Blues on the Green, Salt Lick BBQ and Chipotle are all showing APF and our parks some love through giveback donations in June. These donations are important to us because they allow us to continue doing what we love, improving and maintaining parks. Check out the giveback opportunities below to figure out how you can join in the celebration:
Chipotle – June 12th
Chipotle will be hosting a giveback day on APF’s actual birthday – June 12th at all of its Austin-area locations. That includes Pflugerville, Georgetown and Round Rock! Show this flyer, or mention Austin Parks Foundation to the cashier, and 50% of the profits will be donated to APF. This is an all-day event, so you can have Chipotle for breakfast, lunch and dinner 😉
Blues on the Green – June 14th
To celebrate APF’s 25th and Zilker’s 100th birthdays, KGSR’s Blues on the Green has chosen APF as the beneficiary of their pass the bucket initiative on June 14th. So look out for yellow donation buckets! And if you’d like to help us collect – check out the givepulse event here. These donations will help Austin Parks Foundation toward our goal of mulching every tree in Zilker Park this year in celebration of Zilker Park’s 100th Anniversary.
Salt Lick BBQ – June 1st – 30th
Salt Lick BBQ has generously offered to give 10% from all dessert sales through the month of June. Make sure to head out there and enjoy some great food, but save room for dessert so that you can help our parks!
