Yup, we’re celebrating and not complaining about the third day in a row with measureable rain in Austin. Â Visting the many It’s My Park Day sites last Saturday, we couldn’t help noticing the dust and in many cases, mulch, swirling around us. Â The past few days of rain won’t end the drought, which is severe now in Central Texas, but it will certainly help.
As I was walking my dogs yesterday, they would splash through each puddle on the street, wondering if they remembered  swimming in the creeks in the summer.  Here’s a picture of one of my pups, Jessie, swimming in Barton Creek a few summers ago.
