#OptOutside this Holiday Season and Win!

You may remember REI has done things a little different on Black Friday —they have closed their doors, and invited the nation to opt outside with them. And more than a million people have done just that – including us! It really caught the attention of our community, and we saw hundreds of you posting your park adventures on Black Friday. This year we’re joining REI outside again, and we’d like you to go out with us! Let’s skip the malls and celebrate life outdoors, because fresh air is FREE(ing)!

Awesome Giveaway!

As a special thank you to those of you who do join us in Austin’s parks on Friday 11/24, we’re giving away some awesome Austin Parks Gear and other prizes! Two lucky winners will win the following:

First Place Prize:

  • Republic Square Picnic Blanket
  • Austin Parks Foundation Gear (Tote Bag, Hat, Shirt, Water Bottle)
  • $30 Taco Deli Gift Card

Second Place Prize:

  • Austin Parks Foundation Gear (Tote Bag, Hat, Shirt, Water Bottle)
  • $10 Taco Deli Gift Card

To Enter to Win:

All you have to do  is follow these simple steps:
1) Head to the parks on Black Friday (11/24/17)
Check out our parks database and explore some of the amenities our city parks have to offer.
2) Follow us on our social media accounts (FacebookTwitter, and Instagram)                              Stay up to date on all park news, events, and volunteer opportunities!
3) Take a selfie of yourself in parks and use the hashtags #OptOutside and #PeoplePlusParks
We’ll look for your posts on Black Friday and choose a winner on Monday, November 27, 2017. You MUST use both hashtags and follow APF to enter.

That’s it! We hope you’ll discover some new parks and enjoy some old favorites. Make sure to join us again on #GivingTuesday (11/28) and giveback to our parks, trails and green spaces with SoulCycle. You’ll be helping to keep our parks ever green, and showing the world how much you care about the future of our parks!
