Yep, you read that correctly. There's going to be an It's My Pool Day, a day to celebrate Austin's pools inspired by It's My Park Day, APF's bi-annual, city-wide day of volunteering in Austin's parks, trails and green spaces.
Austin summers are hot! Swimming is what keeps us all from losing our minds, but our pools need some love. This summer, Austin Parks Foundation is highlighting our city's amazing pools while also providing some much needed care. Join us on August 3rd at Bartholomew Municipal Pool for a volunteer event followed by taking a dip in the pool.
Ready to have some fun in the sun? Here are three ways you can celebrate the first ever It's My Pool Day on Saturday, August 3rd:
Volunteer at Bartholomew Municipal Pool
We will spend the day mulching trees, weeding and mulching the beds inside the pool area and planting some mosquito repellant plants. We will provide tools, gloves, and fresh, cold drinking water – PLEASE BRING YOUR OWN WATERBOTTLE to reduce waste.
We will also provide music for motivation and KIND bars for snacks! We’ll meet at the main entrance to the pool. We're looking forward to seeing you there!
Perks

Ample parking is available onsite, but we always encourage carpooling, public transportation, ride sharing, and biking!
