Join Austin Park Foundation’s Volunteer Manager and Environmental Educator, Bill Stout, and our Programs Director Ladye Anne Wofford for our It’s My Park Day First Time Project Leader Meeting on January 29, 2015, from 6:30 p.m. to 7:30 p.m. at our office: 507 Calles Street, Ste. 116, Austin, Texas 78702.
When you become a project leader you are playing an important role in caring for our city’s beloved green spaces. Many of our parks don’t receive the care and attention they need and volunteer days like It’s My Park Day are important opportunities to provide basic maintenance to our parks, trails, and open spaces.
If you want to make a difference but don’t know where to start, we’re here to help!
This meeting provides anyone who is new to leading a project the opportunity to ask questions and learn more about the process in person. We’ll discuss the who, what, when, where, and why of It’s My Park day, provide an overview of what types of projects you can register, how to submit a project, what happens leading up to It’s My Park Day, as well as day-of logistical details.
