APF is proud to continue this event and is determined to improve it year after year. In fact, over the last five years, It’s My Park Day has consistently grown in amount of volunteers and impact. In the Spring, Austin saw about 3,600 volunteers working on 110 projects throughout the city for a combined total of about 10,800 hours of volunteer labor and care for the city’s parks and greenbelts. It was truly an unforgettable day.
This Fall, It’s My Park Day will have over 80 projects throughout the city, each providing unique opportunities for the Austin community to give back to its parks. With projects ranging from trash pick-up to planting and gardening, there is something for everyone. We believe It’s My Park Day provides the perfect opportunity for everyone to impact the city in a practical, yet lasting way.
