Our tagline is people + parks, and we take that to heart. We know the people we work with, both inside and outside the office, are what make this organization successful, and we’re proud of the team we’ve put together. Each of us is committed to making Austin’s parks, trails and green spaces great for each and every Austinite. Favorite park:
Barton Springs Pool
“My favorite park will forever be Barton Springs. I’ve spent endless summer days swimming in those magical waters and sitting up on the hill making lifelong friends and learning about the goings on in Austin. I met my husband at Barton Springs, and we celebrated our first day as a married couple there. I’m excited to watch our children grow up swimming at our city’s spring-fed pool. Barton Springs is the heart of our city, and one of the things I love most about Austin.”
Favorite thing about being on the APF Staff:
“My favorite thing about APF is our community. Through our work I’ve had the opportunity to meet hundreds of incredible people throughout the city who truly care about our community and our cherished parks and trails. I’m continuously inspired by the dedication of our park adopters, volunteers, and staff to protecting Austin’s beloved parks and building community.”
Favorite park memory:
“I have so many fun memories in our parks: full moon swims, long hikes with friends, festivals, and moments of quiet solitude. But I’d say that my favorite memory is of my wedding day, when I married the kindest and most handsome guy in town, Dave Wofford. We got hitched at the Zilker Clubhouse in June of 2010, surrounded by friends and with views of the river and our beautiful city skyline behind us.”
Fun Fact:
“My great-great grandfather was born in Texas in 1844, making me a 5th generation Texan.”
