Austin Parks Foundation amplifies D1
This year for Amplify Austin, our city’s 24-hour giving frenzy, we’re highlighting the breadth of our work. We’ll share stories of projects from each district throughout the month of February so you can see how we’re Amplifying a green space near you!
Today, we’re showing off how your gifts Amplify Meadows at Trinity Crossing.
A new community picnic area is helping Amplify Meadows Park
Although close to larger parks such as Little Walnut Creek Greenbelt and Walter E. Long Metro Park, Meadows at Trinity Crossing is still a stand out. It’s smaller size and proximity to the neighborhood makes this park a fantastic space for neighbors to come together as a community.
The addition of new picnic tables, 6 regular and 2 ADA accessible, will help to ensure everyone can use the space. Making our parks more accessible is an important step towards a more inclusive Austin, and is one of our focus areas for 2018 and beyond. You can help us make Austin’s parks more accessible with a gift to APF during Amplify Austin!
