Over 70 children and caregivers came together to move, create and connect with one another at APF’s first-ever Playdate in the Park at Dove Springs District Park. The event was free and open to the public, and encouraged families with small children to come to the park to participate in creative activities like dance, story time, music and arts and crafts. APF has partnered with Creative Action to co-host the series.
All Creative Action programs are designed to help young people develop holistically—blending arts education and youth development. Aside from the physical benefits, playdates help toddlers and older kids to develop and grow vital skills such as social, problem-solving, and critical thinking while also teaching children to learn to share, learn about teamwork, and much more.
Playdates begin at 10 a.m. and end around noon. We encourage you to reserve your spot for future Playdates in the Park!
