We know Austinites love to be active and have fun outdoors, which is why we’ve compiled a few of our favorite tennis courts in Austin, Texas. Whether you're a tennis enthusiast or wanting to try something new, these outdoor tennis courts around Austin are sure to please.

1. Austin High Tennis Center

These tennis courts are open to the public for free after 7 pm (after school hours) and located right next to the Colorado River. Imagine enjoying a nice breeze off the water during your match! 2. Northwest District Park

Beverly S. Sheffield Northwest District Park is known for its friendly atmosphere and a plethora of amenities. Besides enjoying the pool, playscape, baseball fields, basketball courts and trails, you can also play a game of tennis. 3. Joslin Neighborhood Park

This park is tucked away in South Austin’s Western Trails neighborhood. With two side-by-side courts, lighting and fencing, this court is perfect for a friendly match or a quick pick up game while the rest of the family plays beneath the live oaks, on the play scape or walks the loop trail. 4. Shipe Neighborhood Park

This 2-acre spot in central Austin has a little bit of everything, but a tennis match accompanied by the breeze from the creek nearby is a classic Shipe experience. Be sure to check out the swimming pool and basketball court as well.  Click here for directions to Shipe Neighborhood Park!

5. South Austin Tennis Center

6. Dick Nichols District Park

Two side-by-side tennis courts are fenced and set back from the rest of the park here at Dick Nichols in South West Austin. 7. Little Stacy Neighborhood Park

If you are a beginner at tennis, the courts at Little Stacy Park might be for you! Located in a quiet neighborhood park, these courts nestled among the trees give you the opportunity to learn the ropes of tennis before moving on to courts frequented by more advanced players.
