Project Playback: Investing in the Treasured Barton Springs Pool

Austin Parks Foundation has been investing in Barton Springs Pool, one of our city’s favorite swimming holes, dating back to 2010! From cleaning supplies to bathhouse renovations, APF is committed to ensuring Austinites are able to enjoy Barton Springs for years to come.

Keeping Barton Springs’ infamous 68-74 °F water healthy and clean is helpful to all; the animals and plants that call it home as well as the countless people that visit every year. The pool has unique ecosystem of native plant and animal species including the endangered Barton Springs salamander. Protecting the ecosystem of the pool ensures visitors can continue to enjoy this natural treasure.

We're proud to support Barton Springs Conservancy and Friends of Barton Springs Pool in preserving the historic pool. Here's how APF has invested in Austin's favorite pool over the years through our ACL Music Festival Grants Program:

2010 - $1,500 Neighborhood Grant
