The City of Austin Online Poll for Unmet Service Demands closes Friday, July 9th and if you haven’t yet, you can vote for Additional staffing for Downtown Parks, Parks and Pools Maintenance and Neighborhood Park Maintenance. You’ll need to create an account and sign in which gives you 25 votes – up to 3 can be used to for each idea. Even if all three of these unmet service demands were adopted and funded by City Council in this year’s budget cycle, the 33 positions would still not get us to the 50 plus positions we’ve lost in the past few years due to the City wide hiring freeze.
