Party for the Parks, our biggest fundraiser of the year, is ~almost~ here and WE. CANNOT. WAIT. This year’s event is shaping up to be our best one yet. Our fundraising goal of $400,000 is the largest to date for this event and with your help we can reach, and surpass, that goal!
You may be wondering, ‘What is Party for the Parks?’ (great question) so we asked Carolina Gonser, Senior Development Coordinator, to break it down…
“Imagine being at a concert where the WHOLE CROWD seems to be friends with one another. Everyone is laughing with a drink in their hand, kicking back, relaxing, while mingling with old and new friends. The sun sets over Zilker, the city’s been abuzz with ACL Weekend One just wrapping up and now, another evening of fun, and giving back, begins.
What I love most is seeing everyone get excited about our parks. The silent auction and raffle items donated by our amazing friends to help continue moving our mission forward add to the experience of the night. It’s hard to put into words…but, I can’t wait to see Austinites gather under the night sky, enjoying live music at our beautiful Zilker park. Nothing feels more like Austin.”
TL;DR:
DON’T MISS PARTY FOR THE PARKS. ENJOY A NIGHT OUT IN THE BEST CITY WITH LIVE MUSIC AND FRIENDS.
Seriously, don’t miss it.
OUR MISSION
As much as this is a party, the heart of this event is to give back to our city’s parks. With events such as Party for the Parks we are able to continue our mission to enhance people’s lives by making our public parks, trails and green spaces better through volunteerism, innovative programming, advocacy and financial support. In collaboration with people, organizations, leaders, communities, businesses, neighborhoods and more, we are able to ensure equitable access to green spaces. So, THANK YOU for allowing us to improve nearly every park in Austin over the last 30 years.
WAY TO GO!
Thanks to all those in attendance, our sponsors and anyone who gave online – we reached, and exceeded, our fundraising goal of $400,000! Our total raised came out to $410,873 that we will be able to put back into our parks! We hope you had a great time and cannot wait to see y’all next year.
