Austin Parks Foundation (APF) is excited to announce our 2021 Spring Community Grants recipients, that will receive over $102,000 in combined funding to build numerous park necessities and improve various parks across Austin!

As a part of our ACL Music Festival Grants Program, Community Grants are designed to support community-initiated improvement projects requiring between $5,000 - $50,000 in funds. Since 2006, over $3 million in grant funds have gone toward projects that aim to encourage community participation and a commitment to community space.

APF has awarded a total of $102,596 in this spring grants cycle to the following parks and green spaces:

  • T.A. Brown Neighborhood Park (District 4): $33,811 for the installation of connection walks, tables, benches, trash receptacles and fitness equipment
  • Springwoods Neighborhood Park (District 6): $18,785 that will go toward building a kiosk to help the neighborhood stay informed about upcoming community, cultural, sporting and family events
  • Deep Eddy Community Garden (District 10): $50,000 that will partially fund a rebuild of the garden’s dilapidated storage sheds.
“Amenities like tables, benches and kiosks in our parks and green spaces are essential. We are proud to financially support these projects that will allow for much-needed park improvements benefiting communities across Austin. Our parks have been a respite over the past year, and we know these improvements will allow for our community to continue to enjoy them.”
