Though we wish we could return to the original format of It’s My Park Day, the pandemic means it isn’t safe just yet. That’s why we’ve moved the first It's My Park Day of 2021 to early June. We're planning a week-long event of virtual volunteering opportunities kicking off on National Trails Day - Saturday, June 5th - and stretching through Sunday, June 13th.
This Spring, we’ve got something special in the works: a day of in-person volunteer projects on Saturday, June 12th to celebrate Austin Parks Foundation's 29th birthday!
Virtual + In-person Volunteer Opportunities
We'd love nothing more than to repeat IMPD Spring 2020 when y'all showed up in record numbers to help parks across Austin. Sadly, we'll only be able to offer a limited amount of socially-distanced volunteer events in the parks this time around.
But because we saw such great success with It's My Park Day - At A Distance in November 2020, we know our community will be there for our parks, trails and green spaces. Hundreds of Ausinites completed thousands of activities to earn IMPD swag and support these cherished green spaces, and we know this time around will be no different.

Safety Is Our Number 1 Priority
Though we hope this limited opportunity will be open to everyone, ultimately, we'll follow the guidance of the City of Austin's Parks and Recreation & Public Health Departments to determine the appropriate safety measures and capacity of these in-person volunteer events. Our in-person volunteer opportunities will be majorly scaled back compared to It's My Park Day's of the past, so be sure to mark your calendar - volunteer registration will open May 3rd!
