For 30 years, Austin Parks Foundation has worked tirelessly to pursue our mission of enhancing people’s lives by improving our city’s public parks, trails and green spaces. As we celebrate three decades of connecting people and parks, we are thrilled to announce Room & Board as our 30th Anniversary Presenting Sponsor.
At APF, we believe that our community’s green spaces bring us together. As our city continues to grow, it is now more important than ever to ensure that all Austinites have access to green spaces to nourish our culture and community. We believe that we are all parks people and so it is the responsibility of each of us to help do our part in maintaining our well-loved green spaces – from native Austinites and established local businesses to new residents and companies choosing to make Austin home.
About Room & Board
Room & Board prides themselves in making furniture with a balance of modern lines and timeless details with a focus on sustainability. We share the goal of incorporating eco-friendly and sustainable practices in everything we do. They use sustainable sources like reclaimed wood from barns and historic buildings for certain collections as well as recycled materials in their fabrics, steel and plastic.
In 2021, Room & Board supported more than 85 organizations dedicated to social and environmental causes through financial donations, product donations or volunteer support from our staff members. Their dedication to organizations like ours makes them a wonderful partner to help us celebrate 30 years.
We know our Austin store will be well-received because the people here share our passion for environmental responsibility, sustainability, timeless design, and home décor. This is a vibrant, stimulating city with a thriving economy. We are here to stay; Austin is our new home.
