Playdate in the Park: Boggy Creek Greenbelt

Playdates in the Park is an inclusive, free community event series designed to activate families with young children. Enjoy story time, make crafts, and MOVE AND GROOVE with our friends from Creative Action! Music & Movement sessions are active and designed to inspire creativity, encourage physical and emotional development, and support bonding and connection for parents and children.

Texas Book Festival Author, Anne Wynter will be joining us to read two of her recently published books, Just Like You and No More Sleeping In. We will also have 30 copies of each book onsite for families to take and have signed by the author!

Keep Austin Beautiful will be onsite with their vermicompost table, which features live red wiggler works for kids to interact with, while KAB staff provides participants with a more in-depth understanding on compost and reducing food waste. This activity is part of their Generation Zero Waste education program, which helps raise awareness about recycling, composting and conservation.

Sessions contain singing, beatboxing, guided movement exercises, and end with a dance party for the whole family! Playdates begin at 10 a.m. and end around noon.

The event is finished.
